The result of engine performance, time the machine works is directly proportional to the volume of waste capacity so that the more volume, the longer it takes depending. One of the renewable energy sources that can be utilized and has great potential is wind energy. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal taper blade with airfoil for a micro-scale horizontal axis wind turbine. In this study, horizontal axis wind turbine blades with GOE 796 airfoil were tested using a cooging-less PMSG generator in order to achieve high efficiency at minimum wind speeds. The design of the GOE 796 Airfoil Taper blade has a radius of 1 m, a chord width of 34-74 mm, with a twist angle of 5.66-11.66°. This research concentrates on the perforated V-rib with grooved in the cooling channel with a rectangular cross-section. This research analyzes the heat transfer and pressure drop in the rectangular channel with a perforated groove v-rib to provide the cooling blade gas turbine solution. This research was conducted by numerical analysis. Several models were created and analyzed using Solidworks Flow Simulation, a commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) based on the finite volume method. Solidworks Flow Simulation Solver to analyze laminar and turbulent flow using the Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equation. Using the same transport equations for laminar and turbulent flows provides flexibility. Turbulence in the flow is treated using turbulent kinetic energy (k) and turbulence dissipation rate (ꞷ) using the standard k-ꞷ turbulence model. The Reynolds numbers 2000, 4000, 6000, 8000, 10000,12000,14000. By giving 1000 Watts of heat at the bottom of the channel, the air condition at the inlet temperature is 30 oC and a pressure of 1 atm. In the flow regime of 2000 &lt; Re &lt; 20,000, perforated rib construction significantly increases the Nusselt number compared to no rib. The garlic processing process which includes stripping and slicing will take a lot of time if the processes are done manually on each clove of garlic. The study tried to help by designing and analyzing devices that could help users peel and slice garlic using a rotation mechanism. The design of this device is designed to peel 4 kg of garlic within 30 minutes by applying a force of 25 N. The device has a uniqueness, it can be disassembled and accompanied by additional features in the form of a slicer knife to make it easier to install and use the device. Based on the results of the analysis, the safety factor values at static and dynamic loads were obtained at 1.44 and 1.73 in the most critical parts. Therefore, it can be concluded that this product is safe and has an infinite age prediction. This crisis problem requires that we seek a fuel alternative to replace coal or at least reduce coal consumption. One of them biomass fuel by applying co-firing methods. The co-firing process aims to raise thermal energy in the boilers, and therefore it is expected to raise the heat rate of the boiler fuel. The application of research uses a comparative analysis method that will compare heat rate using co-firing method with heat rate without the co-firing method. Analysis shows the impact of adding biomass waste as a boiler fuel to create a heat rate with co-firing increased by 19810.41 kkal/kWh compared to the time without co-firing 19207.08 kkal/kWh. Determining the pressure of the tires is important, but about 67% of drivers cannot determine their tires conditions and do not know when to replace their worn-out tires. The tire wear is important as it increases the probability of hydroplanning. This study is created in order to provide a new insight of the effect of different driving behaviours to the wear of the tire. In order to know what variables causes greater wear to a tire, a simulation that represents the real-life conditions are required. The simulations will be made by using formulas based on Brush model and Savkoor model. Weight shift model is also implemented in order to obtain a more realistic number. Each condition is isolated with others to gain a clearer difference between conditions. From the simulations one, it is found that the greater the driving angle, the greater the tire wear. The greater the acceleration also provide a difference in the tire wear due to the weight of one side of a vehicle is heavier while the other is lighter. The greater the load or weight the tire sustain, the greater that tire’s wear. Pipe packing machines sold in the market have dimensions that do not match the rooms at PT. Steel Pipe Industry of Indonesia, Tbk. The design process for this automatic pipe mill machine uses problem methods, literature studies, machine requirements analysis, design concepts, components, and investment BEP calculations. The result of this planning is a machine design that is obtained with a length of 6500 mm, width of 3852 mm, and height of 1500 mm, using a 1.5 Hp, 1000 Rpm motor. The loading simulation results using the solidworks application show the Yield Strength is 2.039e+008 N/m<sup>2</sup>. The maximum load limit is 2.9983e+007 N/m<sup>2</sup>, and the minimum load is 7.331e-004 N/m<sup>2</sup>, the cycle time of this packing machine is 5 minutes. The maximum limit of the load in the simulation above is no more than the Yield Strength of galvanized steel material so it is safe to lift 36 pipe rods in 1 bundling. Bulletproof material serves to reduce the kinetic energy of the projectile so it does not hit the bulletproof vest user. The main material in the manufacture of bulletproof material is steel with a high density so that the weight of the bulletproof material is high which causes the user to be unable to move freely. Composite is a material consisting of two or more elements that have good mechanical properties and low density so that it can be used as an alternative to steel for bulletproof materials. The bulletproof material used was reinforced with bamboo fiber with a matrix of epoxy resin/hardener mixture and the addition of 20, 25, and 30 ml ceramic granules, the composite material was tested for ballistics using a variation of the firing range parameter 2; 2.5; and 3 m. Based on the results of ballistic tests, all variations of the addition of ceramic granules were able to reduce the energy of the projectile with a penetration depth of &lt; 1 mm where the kinetic energy of the projectile was 209.83 joule. The testing of the designed waterwheel has been adapted to conditions in the Riau Province area, where the Riau area has many rivers and reservoirs so it is suitable for use for hydroelectric power plants, and the height of the water fall in the Riau area on average is about 1 meter to 3 meters. In transmission system of the eco car Antawirya team from Diponegoro University also uses sprocket as one of its components. When starting first attempt of the race and do full throttle, the sprocket become failure since deformation happens on sprocket. The sprocket run into plastic deformation and then caused chain exiting its path and come off. The purpose of this study is to find the cause of fatigue that occurs by hardness test, chemical composition test and stress analysis. Sprocket use aluminum alloy 7075-T6 as a material. As a result of chemical composition testing, aluminum content is 97.3% which is more than the standard maximum limit of 91.4%. The percentage of zinc is 0.06% while the minimum limit of standard is 5.1%. There are also differences from other chemical elements such as magnesium and copper. The addition of that other elements serves to increase the strength of the material because Al 7075-T6 is well known as material with high strength. The results of stress analysis using ANSYS software found that the loading that occurred produce a Von-Mises stress of 392 MPa and yield strength of the material is 503 MPa, from that figure makes 1.28 a safety factor value and there should be no deformation on the sprocket. One of the efforts that can be done to prevent corrosion in this piping system is the use of inhibitors. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of using variations in the concentration of amine oxide inhibitors on the corrosion rate of API 5L Grade B steel pipe in the drain line fluid environment. The inhibitors used in this study were organic inhibitors, namely amine oxide with a concentration variation of 0.5% and 0.9%. Corrosion measurement using Potentiodynamic Polarization method. Tests for composition, microstructure, Vickers hardness, and tensile tests were carried out to support the test data. The results showed that the corrosion rate of API 5L Grade steel pipe in a drain line fluid environment without inhibitors was 68.94 mpy. To make it easier for wood craftsmen, a modern saw machine is needed so that it is hoped that the demand from the community can be met. This study aims to design a wood cutting tool and find out how long it takes to cut wood with a thickness of 0.75 cm, 1.75 cm, 2.75 cm and 3.75 cm, and a cutting width of 3 cm. The design of this multifunctional tool uses cutting blades and an AC 220 V – 180 watt dynamo as a driving machine. The result of the design is shaped like a table with two blades that can be used interchangeably, and there is sandpaper on the front that functions as a smoothing part of the cut wood. This tool has a height of 90 cm, a width of 50 cm, a length of 70 cm, and the height of the top blade holder is 15 cm, and the top blade holder is 60 cm long, the sandpaper holder is on the front side. With its diverse geographical environment, Indonesia has resources that can use as a composite material, and Lampung Province is no exception, which has basalt and rattan fiber resources. This research is needed to determine the effect of using basalt powder as a filler and rattan fiber as a polyester resin matrix composite reinforcement. Basalt was reduced to size variations of 100, 200, and 325 mesh with 2%, 7%, and 12% mass fractions. Rattan is made into fiber and washed with 5% NaOH, then dried. Rattan fibers were arranged randomly with a fixed mass fraction of rattan at 10% with a fiber size of 2 mm in diameter and 5 cm in length. SHCP 2668 polyester resin matrix with 2% catalyst. The composite was made using the hand lay-up method by pressing 3 tons for 15 minutes and drying the composite. Mechanical testing includes tensile strength test based on ASTM D638 standard and three-point bending test based on ASTM D790, macro test observations to determine the shape of the fracture after mechanical testing. ANOVA analysis showed the significant effect of mass fraction and size of basalt powder on tensile strength with a P-value &lt;5%. The basalt particle size contributed 84% dominantly, while the mass fraction was 15.6% to the tensile sterngth. The grain size of the basalt contributes 62.13% to the flexural strength with a significant effect of P-value &lt;10%. In flexural strength, rattan fiber has more influence than tensile stress. The small grain size of the basalt provides a denser bonding density between the particles than the larger particles. This study reports the effect of lathe &amp; drill parameters, polyester-vinylester blend composition on roundness, roughness, and changes in surface hardness, as well as the main contribution of these factors. This study aims to examine the influence and contribution of polyester-vinylester blend composition, feedrate, speed and depth of cut on roundness, roughness, and changes in surface hardness of lathe &amp; drill products. To achieve this goal, a series of cylindrical surface machining experiments were carried out on workpieces of the polyester-vinylester blend of different compositions. In the experimental set, the Taguchi L9(4)3-OAs method was used. The experimental results show that the most influential on the roundness and surface roughness is the size of the composition of the polyester-vinylester blend followed by the size of the feedrate carried out. Cutting speed and depth of cut don't really matter. While the change in hardness that is very influential is the feed followed by the depth of cut, the composition of the mixture actually shows the opposite between lathe and drilling. This is a form of energy saving and safe for the environment. In order to obtain real and objective measurement data, testing is performed in two stages, namely the test equipment testing stage and the second stage is data collection when the test equipment is fully operational. The test equipment can be used in stand-alone systems or conventional air conditioners. Hypoxia is a condition in which the body lacks oxygen levels. To prevent hypoxia in athletes who must continue to carry out training with the COVID-19 health protocol is to use a mask that can regulate air circulation properly. Therefore, an idea emerged to make an aerator mask that can help the respiratory system and can prevent athletes from getting hypoxia during training during a pandemic, because the aerator mask that we made is equipped with dual fans that can supply oxygen properly. These fishing boats still use conventional fish catch shelters. This method is expensive and risks the quality of fish freshness and even damage to the caught fish. To overcome the problem, a cold storage design is carried out as a place to store fish catches. This study aims to 1) design a cold storage with a capacity of 1 ton of fish with a cooling temperature of 2 - 0°C; 2) calculate the required power and cost; 3) calculate Break Even Point (BEP). The results of this study obtained a cold storage design with dimensions of 248.2 cm x 120.4 cm and a height of 84 cm. The inner and outer walls of cold storage are made of stainless material, while the middle of the Styrofoam is an insulating material. The refrigerant used is R 134 a. Indoor cooling using an air misting system. Cold Storage power 593 Watt at 220 Volt AC voltage. The cost of making 1 cold storage unit is IDR 22.350.000 and the power of a 1 hp generator is IDR 4.000.000, so the total is IDR 26.350.000. Break Even Point (BEP) from the draft is 9,4 months. The methodology used in this study is by creating a virtual model of assembly elements according to real conditions on the shopfloor. Each of these virtual elements will be connected to each other to get the update information on the shopfloor accurately and transparently to build a cyber-physical system as the first step towards Industry 4.0. This study was conducted to analyze the energy performance of the organic Rankine cycle as a result of changes in condensation temperature using a more environmentally friendly working fluid as a substitute for R245FA, namely R515A and R1234ZE. The system performance is based on the variation of the condensation temperature using Genetron Properties software with the evaporation temperature being held constant. The important quantities analyzed are mass flow rate, pumping power, heat absorption, turbine pressure ratio, and thermal efficiency. The results of this study indicate that increasing the condensing temperature greatly increases the pumping power consumption but decreases the pressure ratio in the turbine, and the thermal efficiency of the system. The pumping power used to circulate R515A and R1234ZE is greater than that of circulating R245FA, but the thermal efficiency of the ORC system using R1234ZE is greater than that of R245FA and R515A.</p> Marianus R. PT Aman Jaya is a medical device company, where in the manufacture of medical devices, there is a sub process, namely the product folding process. In this process, problems occur that reduce running hours and cause productivity to decrease. The data used is from the company as well as field observations and analyzed to update the transmission of the product folding device, to reduce stoptime so that productivity increases. One of the causes of the problem is the transmission of the folding device, namely the chain. This transmission rusts due to lack of lubrication and if lubricated, the ash of the paper pulp sticks which over time becomes thick. So that the rotation is unstable, the chain jams, detaches from the sprocket, and breaks. After being analyzed and calculated according to the reference, the chain transmission was replaced with a timing belt of type L, number 165L, tooth are 44, length is 408.10 mm, and small pulley is 14, large pulley is 20, axle distance is 120 mm, for 1: 3 of motor ratio, 1500 rpm of rotation and 350 rpm of fold pulley rotation. By using a chain replacement timing belt, it is expected to reduce product folding trouble to increase productivity. The resulting update can reduce the folding problem, from an average stoptime of 74 min to 6 min.
